Who is | DJ Soce

Soce has been DJ’ing for over 20 years. He first began as a DJ for his high school and college radio stations (WPEA and WYBC) and now does weddings, corporate events, Bar/Bat/Simcha Mitzvah parties, communion parties, retirement homes, school dances, family reunions and more.

He grew up in a very musical family that used to play chamber music together. Soce started playing the violin when he was four and still plays today. He has been doing hip hop and comedy in NYC for over 15 years, as well as touring USA and Europe and being featured on MTV, VH1, Comedy Central and Sirius Radio.

He spins every genre and decade of music, especially ones that get the crowd moving straight to the dance floor!

Andrew Singer (DJ Soce) is a wonderful DJ and musician. He comes from an unusually diverse musical background, combining classical music training, rapping, a capella, and other performance arts into an amazing blend of knowledge and skills. Both the lyrics he writes and those he provides off-the-cuff are clever and in-tune with his audience. In addition, is very familiar with a broad range of music, from top hits to international favorites to classical pieces to the obscure.

I’ve had the pleasure of attending a number of events at which Andrew has DJ'ed. One of the recent ones which I attended was a family reunion, where he DJ'ed our dance party. The family members attending ranged from ages two to mid-seventies, and Andrew was able to pull together music that brought everyone happily to the dance floor. He had created a fantastic playlist ahead of time, yet was also very willing to take requests and integrate them smoothly into the experience. His friendly smile and enthusiastic attitude kept us all grinning and boogieing the night away.

Anyone who hires Andrew is getting more than their money’s worth. This is a guy who really knows how to entice people onto the dance floor and bring people of all ages and backgrounds together into a fun and joyous celebration.

Andrew Singer was an excellent choice to DJ our son’s Bar Mitzvah party. He was very professional throughout our event . Our conversations prior to the even were informative. Andrew had many great ideas and suggestions on how to make the party fun. He was readily available and a great listener. He was able to incorporate ideas from my son, the bar mitzvah, and us, his parents into a fun flow for the event.

On the day of the event Andrew showed up early and organized his DJ area quickly and smoothly. He was able to partner with the other party vendors to create the best space for our party.

When the guests began to arrive, Andrew played welcoming music he was flexible with fun games and took song requests. What made Andrew truly special was his ability to entertain our guests. Our guests varied from had 4 old children up to my 80 year old mother-in -law. He was able to find ways to engage the crowd and was flexible to keep the kids involved. Everyone had a fun time!
